A good friend and InteresThinker, Meng, is organising TEDxSentosa!
TEDx events are independently organised TED events.

Briefly -

TEDxSentosa
Date: Saturday, 11 July, 2009
Time: 6 - 9pm
Where: Sentosa Golf Club

Here's the format -

Two videos. Six live speakers. Fifty guests. On Sentosa. With beer.
And a little bit of finger food.

After each video or presentation, a questions and analysis session
will be held, allowing attendees and presenters to engage each other
in an unmoderated, free-ranging examination of the presented ideas.
TEDxSentosa aims to provide a relaxed atmosphere for people to share,
gather, and discuss their passions. Given the nature of discussions
that may arise, attendees should observe common courtesy and
Etiquette.
